Unrailed, or “the choo choo game” as we have so lovingly dubbed it, is a cooperative multiplayer where you and your friends pioneer your way to the next train station while trying not to crash or burn your train. Your group will face obstacles such as thieves taking your supplies, annoying camels drinking your water and incompetent teammates. This game will put your friendships and cooperation skills to the test all while navigating scenic new terrain and upbeat music.
When the game starts, there are various tasks to choose from. These tasks consist of chopping trees, mining rocks, moving materials to the train, placing tracks, and cooling down the train with a bucket of water if the train gets too hot. We found that if each person in a team commits to a task, the whole team can develop a rhythm of how to keep the train on track. After playing a few rounds with friends, we found this game to be satisfying and rewarding for completing a round.
What makes completing a round rewarding you ask? Well, you recieve points for completing the round (as well as completing mini goals in the level) that you can use to upgrade your train. This allows you to provide relief on more demanding tasks, like the train overheating. You can also upgrade the train engine itself which slows down the train, but also moves you and your team to more challenging levels.

The natural progression of this game makes it appealing, since the environment changes the farther you get. With the randomly generated maps and the constant upgrades to the train you can choose from, no 2 runs are the same!
